What is Colon Hydrotherapy?

James’ answer –
If we study true physiology, Colon Hydrotherapy is about the Liver. The Large Intestine, incorrectly referred to as the Colon, is how one addresses our internal Soma from its exterior.

Shall I reveal the accurate facts?

Small volumes of water enter the lumen very slowly, rated approximately .25 pounds per square inch.

However, a properly trained and certified therapist with legitimate colon hydrotherapy certification will always follow the written order of the attending Physician, and the Class 2 FDA registered manufacturer’s recommendation for operation, and should not exceed 8 ounces of pressure, or .5 psi.

The effect of the inflowing water is a mild distension of the lumen and is not beyond the Large Intestine's natural ability to expand, which does not require much volume; usually ounces or several cups of water. This distension encourages the natural motility contraction.

Primarily by osmosis, absorption and diffusion, water passes through the mucosa, a semi permeable membrane entering the superior rectal and inferior mesenteric veins to the hepatic portal vein, prior to the liver. Water is life-giving.

However, the Mechanics of proper respiration and the Functions of the Peripheral Nervous and Endocrine Systems are of greatest importance for proper operation of the bowel.

Anything less I considered butt-flooding. Colon Hydrotherapy is not about cleaning the Colon or removing its contents, unless you want it to be.

Removing waste from the Large Intestine does not signify it clean, by definition of that word. (read more)
