Anatomy and Physiology

prerequisite for I-ACT Certification and completion of Level 1

Each student shall demonstrate a basic working knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology. Three College or University level credits are a requirement of I-ACT Certification. The completion of the A & P prerequisite is not mandatory for entering into this 100-Hour Level 1 Training though it's a good idea for the Student to come prepared; this Training is structured as an intensive learning experience.

How the A & P online course works -

The publisher has indicated that a sufficient time frame of study is a minimum of 3 hours a week for 15 ~ 18 weeks; your study skills and comprehension may vary. Once begun you have 1 year to complete the online course. I facilitate your testing, send your transcript completion to I-ACT, and provide you with an A & P completion Certificate.

Register with Delmar Learning at http://www.cengage.com/delmar/ and create an account with them in the upper right corner. For an example of how the online course works, please go to http://emarketing.cengage.com/demo/A&Ponline.htm

Study their text, Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology by Rizzo, and use the optional accompanying CD-ROM, and use the online course for review. When you are ready for a chapter test, and midterm (between chapters 9 & 10), and the final exam, please call me at 303.325.6718 with a 24 hour notice of the chapter number you'll be taking. I will open that test for you on the selected date.

On the test date, go to Delmar, sign in and take the test. You will have 24 hours to complete the test of 35 questions and you may use your book during the test (no cheating, ha). A passing grade is 75% and you will be notified of your grade. Once you have successfully passed that test, then you may continue to the next chapter, in sequence 1~19.

If you do not successfully pass a chapter test, please notify me, wait for my instructions to retake that test.

On the first day of the 100-Hour Level 1 Training you will take the required I-ACT A & P pretest. This ensures you have an opportunity to successfully complete and pass the requirements of the 100-Hour Level 1 Training and meet the final test requirements for I-ACT Certification Foundation Level 1. The test questions are taken from the Delmar Learning online course materials.

Your personal and individual access code for the A & P online course is $70. which you purchase through me (available only to approved and verified Delmar Instructors). My cost to facilitate and correspond with you throughout the course is $200.00, plus $70.00 = $270.00 paid by check to James Allred.
